		<description>Your commentary about brain size is spot on, but it does not go far enough.  Actually, the practice of measuring brain size to determine intelligence has origins in a racist 19th century science called craniometry.  

The late Stephen Jay Gould debunked it in his book "The Mismeasure of Man," and his widow Rhonda Roland Shearer responded to Allen's article on her media ethics website &lt;a href="http://www.stinkyjournalism.org/latest-journalism-news-updates-126.php" title="_blank" rel="nofollow"&gt;StinkyJournalism.org&lt;/a&gt;.</description>
