RSSBook Review: Fresh Start

And we’re back. I tried to do something fancy with the server in the course of launching the new design and well, not only did it not work, but it wound up blowing up the domain. Moral of the story: Never try anything fancy.
I felt it was time to give Thought Bubbles a makeover, infuse it with a little new energy and generally give it a better theme. The makeover includes a new logo (see the little guy in the bottom right corner) that has actual logo-like properties. It is text-free, easily scales up and down, and can be clearly rendered in color, grayscale, and black and white. This is all in the extremely unlikely event that I would ever want to build TB into a brand.
The new look comes with two new features: an RSS feed and a del.icio.us-powered weblog (in the original sense of the word) in the sidebar, for optimum Yvonne-web-stalking-ease. Y’all can thank Elenita for those, who pestered me endlessly about the first, and whose implementation of the second I shamelessly stole. I also plan on adding a couple other things as time goes on.
Yes, the old archives are gone, casualties of the migration to new blogging software and my own laziness. The archives were getting a little unwieldy, what with the four years’ worth of entries and all, and I didn’t see much there that was worth keeping anyways.
There will be new stuff shortly, and I think better stuff in general. Keep your eyes peeled, I’m planning to post the first new essay on Sunday.
