I’m a Wisconsin ex-pat (you can always count on me to bring bratwurst to a barbecue or to bemoan the lack thereof), now attending graduate school. I’m hoping to get my PhD in cognitive psychology before I get too old and senile to complete a dissertation. I guess if that happens, I can still get my psychology ya-yas by being a subject in Alzheimer’s studies.

What’s with the fish? There are three reasons:

  1. Fish and bubbles go together
  2. My Mandarin name contains a word that sounds like the Mandarin word for “fish”
  3. My dad is an aquarium nut and my mom frequently jokes that the dozens and dozens of tropical fish that he has are my brothers and sisters

In my free time, I cook and knit and design web site templates because making pretty Powerpoint slides and trying to come up with witty titles for papers are remarkably ineffective channels for my creative mojo.
